  3. :All of my desktop clients fail to connect to ownCloud:
  4. Verify that you can log on to ownClouds WebDAV server. Assuming your ownCloud
  5. instance is installed at ``http://yourserver.com/owncloud``, type
  6. ``http://yourserver.com/owncloud/remote.php/webdav`` into your browsers
  7. address bar.
  8. If you are not prompted to enter your user name and password, please verify
  9. that your server installation is working correctly.
  10. If you are prompted, but the authentication fails even though the credentials
  11. your provided are correct, please ensure that your authentication backend
  12. is configured properly.
  13. :The desktop client fails for an unknown reason:
  14. Start the client with ``--logwindow``. You can also open a log window for an
  15. already running session, by simply starting the client again with this
  16. parameter. Syntax:
  17. * Windows: ``C:\Program Files (x86)\ownCloud\owncloud.exe --logwindow``
  18. * Mac OS X: ``/Applications/owncloud.app/Contents/MacOS/owncloud --logwindow``
  19. * Linux: ``owncloud --logwindow``
  20. The log output can help you with tracking down problem, and if you report
  21. a bug, it's useful to include the output.
